Bourke’s Taxidermy has been serving hunters since 1980, built on a legacy of craftsmanship passed from father to son. Founded by Bill Bourke and now led by his son Derek, the studio continues to thrive with both generations working side by side. Derek credits his father for teaching him everything he knows, combining that foundation with advanced training under world and national champion taxidermists. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Taxidermy Association and is a 3x state champion in the Masters Division.
Together, they’ve built one of the largest taxidermy facilities in Illinois — a full-service studio and showroom known for its quality, consistency, and attention to detail. From whitetail and turkey to elk, moose, bear, and exotic species, every mount we create reflects our passion for lifelike presentation and the stories behind each hunt.
Whether you’re a first-time hunter or a lifelong sportsman, Bourke’s Taxidermy delivers work that honors the moment and lasts for generations.
Exotics Welcome
We gladly accept exotic game with all proper import documentation provided.
Custom Work
Additional fees may apply for custom poses, altered forms, and added habitat elements.
Species Not Accepted
We do not accept waterfowl, fish, or reptiles at this time.
